Yesterday, Insight Communications announced that it has upgraded its digital service with additional, free high-definition (HD) movies and music channels on its video-on-demand (VOD) tier.
The second digital upgrade in three months, which is called Insight Digital 3.2, follows on the heels of the company's Digital 3.0 service.
There is no additional charge to digital customers for Insight Digital 3.2. The new HD movies are free on-demand, and the Urge digital music service, which replaces Music Choice, offers customers eight new digital music channels, including music channels such as Noggin and Nick Kids.
Last month, Insight announced that customers in its Kentucky and Indiana footprint could sign up for a turbo-charged broadband service with downstream speeds of up to 20 Mbps (story here). The service, called Insight Broadband 20.0, also provides upstream speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps.
After dividing up the Insight Midwest Partnership with Comcast, Insight has approximately 722,000 customer relationships in the three contiguous states of Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.
